As a makeup artist, I definitely believe that sporting a great hairstyle is as important as your makeup. Hairstyle accentuates your overall look and complement your makeup. So ladies, focusing on your hair is important too. Just like celebrities, you can experiment with various hairstyles from long curly tresses, medium length styles to even updos.
While she is now sporting a medium length bob, her top knot hairstyle during her red carpet appearance at last year’s AMAs has made many of her followers crazy. You can now recreate this hairstyle.
Here’s an easy-to-do tutorial to get Kendall Jenner’s signature top knot:
Step 1: Tie Hair Into A Tight Ponytail
To get Kendall Jenner’s signature top knot, make sure you create a tight ponytail and secure it properly.
Step 2: Get A Portion Of The Tied Hair To Create Your Bangs
Create a full fringe by getting a small portion from the tied ponytail.
Secure the fringes properly with the use of bobby pins. Well, based on my experience, you will need as much bobby pins as needed to make sure updo won’t fall apart. Also, make sure to create a loop on the top.
Step 3: Wrap The Remaining Hair Around The Top
Divide the remaining hair into two portions and wrap it around the loop or bun you made earlier. Secure it into place with bobby pins (This is where you’ll need many bobby pins).
Step 4: Iron The Fringes To Make It Look Natural
Curl the fringes inward with a flat iron to make them look more natural.
With the use of a comb or your hands, fix the fringes.
